What Tools are Needed to Install Artificial Grass?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Installing artificial grass is very easy; you just need to follow a few simple steps. Before starting, we recommend having a series of materials and tools that will help you with the installation. Depending on the situation, all or only some of them may be necessary. If you have any questions, ask your supplier or a professional installer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Special adhesive for artificial grass, notched trowel, and adhesive applicator<\/li>\n\n\n\n

  • Stiff-bristled brush<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    STEP 1: Measure & Prepare the Surface<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The first thing you should know, even before buying our artificial turf, are the measurements of the surface where it will be installed. It\u2019s important to measure and plan the layout of the installation, so that you can buy the correct quantity of meters that you will need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    It\u2019s very important to take into account that the artificial grass is stored and distributed in rolls of 2 or 4 meters, so that you can be ready for any alterations or cuts that may be needed for your installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    STEP 2: Measuring & Cutting Artificial Grass<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    STEP 3: Roll Out the Artificial Grass on the Surface<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The lawn comes in rolls, so the grass fibers are always turned to one side. You will have to roll out the lawn according to the initial planning and always on the same side, because if you roll it out in different directions the surface will be uneven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Clean the Joints<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    After you roll out the artificial grass, you will clean the joints so that they are straight and even. In case there are any barriers or obstacles on the way, you will cut the areas around it and make sure you don\u2019t cut too much to avoid any mistakes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    STEP 4: Apply Seaming Tape<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Lift the edges of the joints and place the seaming tape underneath. With the glue applicator place adhesive on the seaming tape and spread it with the serrated shovel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Then, carefully make sure that the fibers are not glued to the tape and place the edges of the joint on the tape, pressing lightly so that they stick together perfectly. You can also use the self-adhesive seaming tape which is a faster choice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    STEP 5: Glue & Set the Lawn to the Tile Floor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    When you set the artificial grass to the tile, apply a sealer with a silicone gun. As a general rule, you will have to glue it on the surface with marks every 20-30 cm along the entire perimeter. Make sure you glue all the corners and trimmings together.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    STEP 6: Apply Infill Material<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    When installing artificial grass on tile, we must consider the type of installation before you decide to use silica sand. Although its use helps the lawn to stay cool, provides comfort in each step and extends the life of the product, we may not want to use it in installations that are indoor or that combine a lawn area with a tile area. The reason for this is that some sand particles may stick to our footwear and spread around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    STEP 7: Brush Fibers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Because the fiber has been stored in rolls, the hair of the fiber will more than likely wrinkled up in some areas. This problem can be solved by brushing the lawn with a push broom that will make the fiber recover its natural look, allowing for an even distribution of the silica filling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    It\u00b4s better to brush the lawn when it\u00b4s hot, after being exposed to the sun for a while. This makes the fiber more manageable and easier to recover its natural upright look again.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    STEP 8: Rinse The Turf & Apply RealSmell<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Finally, we recommend watering the artificial grass to clean any possible debris or foreign matter that remain on the surface after the installation.
