Advanced Manufacturing Process

Research & Development (R&D)

Innovation is at the heart of Realturf. Our R&D team works year-round on:

  • Product concept and design
  • Development of new models
  • Performance testing in real conditions

We also listen carefully to the feedback of our thousands of clients across Europe and beyond. This collaboration allows us to continually improve our products, always seeking the perfect balance between functionality and visual appeal.

Fiber extrusion

High-quality raw materials are melted and extruded through precision steel plates, creating fibers as fine and natural-looking as real grass. These fibers are then stretched, combined, and rolled into multiple spools.

Fabric Production

Hundreds of fiber spools feed our weaving machines, stitching the fibers into a strong backing. At this stage, blades cut the fibers to the exact height, density, and stitch pattern, giving each turf roll its unique technical characteristics.

Supervision & Quality Control

Our strict triple quality control protocol includes:

  1. Supervision during weaving
  2. Inspection during oven sealing
  3. Laboratory testing of each batch

Base sealing & Drainage

A sealing layer is applied to the backing and cured in controlled ovens, ensuring dimensional stability and fiber fixation. Special heated needles then perforate the backing to guarantee efficient water drainage.

Laboratory Testing

Our artificial grass undergoes rigorous internal controls to meet ISO 9001 standards. Additionally, independent laboratories certify compliance with the strictest international sports regulations, including FIFA, RFEF, ITF, FEP, FIH, and WR.

Packaging & Logistics

Once approved, the turf is rolled (up to 100 meters / 328 feet), labeled with a unique barcode for full traceability, and stored in our modern logistics hub in Alicante, Spain. From here, we deliver to thousands of clients across all five continents.

TRUSTED BY PROFESSIONALS

There are endless possibilities during the artificial grass design and manufacture, with a wide selection of fiber polymers or backing layer sealings.  These make the final product and its performance quite different and unique.  At Realturf we work to give our clients the future of artificial grass with the development of REALTECH Technical Artificial Grass.  This technology improves the grass functionality in terms of aesthetics, durability and improves our clients´ quality of life.

In recent years, the term “technical sportswear” has become very popular.  Technical sportswear refers to the clothing designed specifically for each sport.   The equipment required by a person who practices mountain hiking is not the same for a person who runs in the park, even though there are similarities between both sports.  A similar situation happens with artificial grass products.  At Realturf we design unique collections every year with specific characteristics for each situation.

Following is a description of our main technologies specifically designed and developed to meet our clients ‘needs:
